Not everything starts and ends with education alone. Community is another essential element throughout the human life cycle, which is why it is also an important point of focus for us. Children and their families are directly involved in their communities as community members. As children grow, develop, and are empowered, they can begin to improve the very conditions that have led to their disempowerment or have negatively impacted their wellbeing. At a community level, we therefore aim to support development initiatives for communities – especially those that are likely to achieve long-term outcomes, such as building on social capital and improving health care facilities.
